Principal
Lav Chhabra is the Principal of Perpetuity Legal. He is also an Accredited Specialist in Wills & Estates Law, a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a Committee Member of the LIV Wills & Estates Specialisation Advisory Committee. Lav also holds a Master of Laws (Applied Law) in Wills and Estates and was awarded the best graduating student award by the College of Law.
Since his admission as a lawyer in 2007, Lav has acted for a range of clients from young and growing families to high-net-worth individuals and has developed particular expertise in providing advice on asset protection strategies, tax-effective distribution of assets and transition of control of businesses and trusts.
When acting in matters involving disputes, Lav encourages clients to resolve disputes quickly and cost-effectively, and works hard to achieve the desired outcome. He believes that successful outcomes result from effective communication, attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the client’s circumstances and the law.
Lav regularly presents at professional events and contributes to publications such as the Law Institute Journal.
Outside work, Lav enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, hiking, bike riding and yoga.
